well it seems the PS3 is going to cost sony $900 to roll off the assembly line.....thats not even including the HDD that sony has supposedly decided to include....they are gonna have to sell this at a $400 to $500 loss if they plan to sell more than 20 of these....my guess would be though sony will sell them for $700-$800..... what I am beginning to think is that this rate we wont see the PS3 until late 2006/early 07 and by that time MS is going to be making profit on the 360 and they will have their manufacturering costs way down and they will then be able to undercut sony in the price making the gap even larger.....

Well the one thing u havent looked at.....will sony push marketing as a "Replacement" for a computer along with Your Home Entertainment equipment?.....If they did that...add the die-hard PS fans....and they are definately going to be able to sell them. but then again.....we never know what happens untill it actually is launched

I think they are estimating a little high on the blu-ray drive but the rest would be what I would expect.....
