ok...as far as Nvidia goes, when doing sli...would having 2 cards with different clock speeds be bad? or cause problems?

Ya, i remember at the time I bought mine, the eVga at those speeds was like $40 more than my BFG...I think that's why I went with this one....that and it had COD2 for free...which I ended up getting like 2 copies of lol. So how much do you want for it?

Well it was literally in the box until I put it in Dan's computer so I would like $200, but prices are starting to drop a bit. We can discuss it over break.

And see, that's what im debating about...Newegg now has 1 7800GT...the 460mhz eVga...it's 149.99, but it's "recertified". And right now...the only game I have found to really take more than my card can offer is Rainbow Six Vegas (which is an awesome multiplayer game )....so I don't know if I just want to wait till the 8800s come down another hundred dollars...or what....

recertified or refurbished is usually better.....they have a much lower failure rate than new in box stuff....since they have to be sent back to the manufacturer....checked over thoroughly and if needed repaired....so I prefer to order refurbished unless it is something that comes with a lot of accessories that would not be included with the refurbished version.....

I used to think that way, but I've had a bad track record with refurbished products.... My X1800XT doesn't work and I still haven't gotten a replacement. I sent back 4 Soltek Qbic barebone pcs before the warranty expired and Loomis has the 5th dead one. I bought a refurbished Asus motherboard that was DOA and an Abit motherboard that has no on-board sound. I picked up 2 refurbished CRT monitors from TigerDirect, one was scratched and the other has some discoloration in the screen. I'm sure there's been more too, but like I said refurbished products should be taken with a grain of salt. Never buy a refurbished mobo and video cards are also highly suspect...

Speaking of no sound....you know that Giga-byte board I bought from you way back when....the sound died on it last weekend ....and my Audigy 2 zs hates the PCI slots, it literaly corrupts the OS and I have to reinstall after a little while of playing on it....so I ended up buying a cheap Dynex Sound card from Best Buy for $25 and it's working just fine....it still pisses me off that my Audigy doesn't work in here O, and it works in like 4 other computers that i've tried it in....just has problems with mine it seems...
