Hey everybody, I know I have heard some good ideas for additions to Harvey's property on Young's Prairie for paintball. I think we should all post what ideas we have then maybe we can get something going...

Since, I'm not playing today I'm going out to clear the driveway up. Also thinking about taking some pallets from Pioneer...
I think we could get away with some pallets in the field, but we want to keep Young's Prairie as natural as possible. There is also some potential for a field in town...

we should play on the other side of the property. We should set up some barriers and bust out full autos. Then everyone would have to chip in for paint. it would be fun though.

First off thanks to everyone that did come because it's looking a lot better. I think now that we have a driveway we can start getting stuff back there to maintain it.
It's amazing how much all that brush grew up since last weekend.... There's always more work to do, I just don't want any metal or trash out there. I have nothing against wood as long as it will bio-degrade and blend in with the landscape. It would also be nice if we could get some more trails going through there... I would also like to setup a speedball court on the other side of the marsh to mix it up a bit, but I think we're going to try a 'pilot' field in town first...

well in that case go over to holdens and load up the "A" frame and use it as a bridge to cross the stream it would do nice to blend in. Watch out or the guide wires though. LOL

So, now that it's this time of year again - whats the plan? I've decided against any kind of field fee and decided it best to get by on 5 rental guns and paint alone. That being said we need some way to finance the YP field improvement fund. Any idea how Splat does it? I intend to bring our program about this year and have an event every weekend, and perhaps even a paid tournament or two....
I don't have too much of a problem sinking a couple hundred into this, but I doubt that goes for the rest of you. I actually think I'm a little over budget already by purchasing a real chrono. Anyway we need cheap bunkers, wood, and cover. I'm willing to give $.25 for every palate supplied so someone get Holden to start stocking up. I'll also pay $1 for every over sized and extremely large wire spool/loom thing you can find. I'll give up to $5 for 55gal oil drums. Any kind of construction material would help. I would also like to find some military surplus such as a couple GP small tents and maybe even a flagpole... If my foot soldiers in Constantine got on this, I would eternally be indebted and I consider it even more important than selling the guns...
The final requirement is people, people to help build bunkers (so far I think we have 3, likely reading this post) and we need people to play in the bunkers....

As part of the fund raising efforts, the first time someone comes to our field I think we should have $5 fee when they sign the waiver.... So bring as many people as you can....

That sounds like a good idea, the $5 fee, Palate wise, i think i have around 50, i have a bunch of nails, some planks, a large box and i might be able to come up with a couple of shoe walls from dunhams. We should check the army surplus in k-zoo for the tents, they were going out of business and had like 50% off everything. Thats if they are still there. I also have some old refrigerators that could be turned in to locking strongboxes. I'll definatley keep my eyes peeled for other useful items.
