I think he may be good...it's definitely a different bond than we're all use to...maybe it'll be a hit...still not a Sean Connery...and let's see if he has what it takes to be as good as Pierce Brosnan...if that's how you spell their names lol.

so technically, as long as he acts well, he'd be a great bond...because this is just the beginning of being a bond...so it's not totally required of him being a bad ass...right?...right?....no...ok, but ya, i still think it's going to be good...hopefully, and he can't drive a manual?...uh.

I f he can learn millions of lines if text for a screen play then learning to drive manual should be like learning to eat Cake. LOL It's not very hard.

I have been driving a manual since I learned how to walk basically. LOL well I drove my first 4-wheeler when I was 5 , and my first tractor at 7, and my first truck at 10 so its been a long time. as it stands I won't own a vehicle unless it has a manual. anyone can attest to this. LOL

I'm pretty much in the same boat, everything I drove as a kid was a manual - the Sonoma regretably is not, but then I didn't have to pay for it....

oooo, i was looking at pricing on a brand new '07 Mazda RX-8...and as long as I get a job making 30K+ a year here this spring...i may be getting one...though I'd really want to get a used one...couple years old or so...but I doubt they'll have exactly what im looking for . 6spd manual leather interior 9 speaker bose system 18" alloy rims and the rest of the power standard, sunroof, power everything, etc. and it has to be either a very dark green, dark blue, or silver. either way...if I do get it...then i'll be set...until I find a new car i want lol.

sounds great but I am not a fan of the RX-8, hey are great cars don't get me wrong but I just don't like them for some reason. I am a fan of the original RX-7 though like 1995 series is ok also.

haha, it's ok...I just fell in love with them when I was trying to look for a replacement car to the Mitsubishi 3000GT...and the reason I fell in love with that car was because of the PS game Gran Turismo...the Mitsubishi GTO is what the game called it...god that's a badass car....heavy though....but with the right person that knows how to replace stock stuff with custom parts, you could easily cut quite a bit of lbs off of it. Yar!

The Mitsubishi 3000Gt (aka Dodge Stealth) is actually a Mitsubishi GTO, the name was dropped for the US market. As for why Curtis would want an RX8 because of the GTO I don't know.... I liked the RX8, because of the Renesis rotaries, but when I actually testdrove a few I wasn't so impressed. I would hold onto my cash for the return of the true RX7.... In the meantime get yourself a new Miata.
The Supra is also comming back very soon along with a few more Japanese supercars (Nissan Skyline, etc.)

I would steer clear of any new cars. Buying a new car is simply just throwing money down the drain. Go on ebay or kbb and see what you can get in a similar price range used. You'll probably be very surprised/pleased. As for anything with bose stay away. DO NOT BUY BOSE. Bose is one of the worse audio manufacturers and they charge way too much. Don't believe me? Look here: avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=343759ANY after market sound system (including a professional installation) would be way better and much cheaper than almost any audio package, including all of those pos $3000 elite sound packages that you can get with new cars these days.

We should start a new thread for this....
If you're going to be making $30k a year a used car would probably be the better choice, but there is something to be said about new cars... You never know what someone did to a used car, it could have sat in someone's garage for years comming out only for an occasional weekend or it could have been horribly abused. You never know whats going to happen after that ten mile test drive so it's best to get it as cheap as possible... An old RX7 would be a hell of a deal today....
Keep in mind some new cars are lemons, others are perfect - it's all a numbers game.

Well I can tell you that My Mom just bought a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee and Has had it in the shop every two weeks for a year and still cant fix all of the problems, It shakes violently going down the road, Exhaust is too loud, It leaks Water from every where in the rain, lights flicker, it stalls, etc you get the point. basically right now no one will fix it because its in a lawsuit for bieng a lemon, and we are SOL for now, but for $30,000 I think that the vehicle should be a little better quality then that, this thing basically just sucks... and that is my rant for the day, save money where you can.

Ok...I got the RX8 from the GTO ( and yes, they did have to change the name....stupid american patents on car names...lol j/k) because back when i first started looking at cars, I couldn't find a decent Mitsubishi 3000GT...I loved the fact of the allwheel drive and well the car itself. So, while looking, I also looked for something comparable...which was the RX-7....and they weren't making any of those anymore....and the RX-8 was getting set to be released. I started looking into it...and well fell in love. Now, I've seen a lot of other cars...the Evo, WRX, Skyline, etc...the list goes on...but everytime I start looking, I notice one thing...originality...I love the look of the RX-8...and you really don't see that many around. not even the cheap basic models. Plus, I just love it...If I had my way, I'd have a 1969 Chevy Z-28 Camaro, and the RX-8...why, not because it's the best in its class, or has the most hspwr or torque....but because I just love the car. As for buying new compared to buying used....The reason for buying a brand new one would be this....I wouldn't be able to find what im looking for in a used one, and the older ones (mainly '04 and '05) are not that great as far as gas mileage and heating issues. the '06 they fixed the heating problems and in '07 they fixed the gas mileage problems...or at least...it's what I've been reading. And as far as the Bose thing goes....I have yet to experience any bad problems...or problems at all, with all my time with BOSE. another thing is you can't de-select a bose system with the RX-8...it's a standard lol. or at least, i havent found a way to de-select it haha. O, and the sound quality I hear from a BOSE system, i just love it...it's great. now, don't get me wrong...If I could get it replaced with a complete JL system...I probably would. or maybe Klipsche...but I don't think they make car speakers do they? hmm, they probably do. But either way, the cost for me to get either a JL or Klipsche system in it would be more than I would want to pay for a sound system in my car. Now, if they were just using infinity's or AC Delco...fuck ya id get rid of those lol. But for me, bose is just fine, and great, in a car for me . My home theatre system is the real sound that im worrying about...the place where i'll spend most of my time , not in my car haha. As for the 30k a year thing...that's a minimum...if I start out only around there...I'll be looking at going back to school right away, instead of waiting a few years. really, to me and what i consider my standards....30k a year would be a shitty job...as far as pay goes...but who knows...the job may have excellent benefits(free health care, etc) and be really fun to work at, which in case I would consider it a great job. and the Chevy bronco...who said that? either it was before my time, or I don't remember lol.

The sad thing is, the bose speakers in cars are made by a company called clarion, and they are usually considered worse than the delphi/delco/gm/fosgate speakers. (gm owns delphi which owns delco which sells components to rockford fosgate) If the car comes with them standard, that's fine, but just don't pay anything extra for the pieces of crap!
Bose speakers aren't worthless, they're just not worth much. A $1000 bose system is usually comparable to a $200 setup.

thats true if anyone wants a $1000 stereo in their car cme to me I'll make sure for $1000 you get the loudest clearest stereo money can buy and I'll even do the install. If you need proof just listen to what Joe has in his car, and that cost less than $500.

If I get any stereo upgrades in my car i can do it myself ...besides it being fun, it gives me a chance to see what the inside of my cars look like lol....matter of fact...anyone know of a broken down Cavalier (200-2002) that still has an intact dash panel? for some reason over the summer the little dash panel thing that goes right under the window behind the actual dash cracked in 2 spots...im pissed lol. But ya, I have a set of 6x9 Alpine 3way 165 Watt speakers in the back and a set of Pioneer 4x6 3way 150 Watt speakers in teh front....plus my Kenwood MP3/WMA/Sirius radio. all in all it cost me a total of $145. <3 the best buy discount haha!

Sounds awesome, but it doesn't produce 180+ db. The loudest car stereo ever was 178.9 dB. Anything over 115db will cause almost instantaneous hearing loss.
